Awesome and Beyond

I went to a Christmas party at my job and I won this tv. I was so excited I couldn’t wait to get home to install I was so excited I couldn’t wait to get home to set it up. The features are so great the size is perfect and the screen is so clear. I couldn’t ask for more. Greatest TV ever

Good TV for the price

This TV is good if you are looking for a very simple, regular flat screen TV. I purchased it for my living room and it's exactly what I need without all the bells and whistles. The one and only complaint I have is the sound quality when I am playing music (like when I'm using Spotify to jam out while I clean or have friends over.) There isn't a ton of bass, sounds kind of boxy but I don't mind it too much for what I paid.

Great and no buts

I bought this tv and it has been working excellent from great picture to very good sound. I have no complaints. I think at 269 dollars it is well worth it and a steal. If you are looking for a 50 inch you won't go wrong with this tv. I'm thinking of buying another one.

Sceptre 50" TV

I've had this TV for a couple of weeks now....and I must say....it's everything I'd hoped it would be. The picture is great....just like I'd hoped. As far as sound....yeah, it has sound....but these tv's are designed to look good....not sound good. So if you really want to enjoy the great picture....hook it up to an additional sound source....and you'll be glad you got it. At this price point.....you can't do much better. Definitely a good deal!....:~)

Fantastic picture!

Most people said the picture was great quality but the sound was poor quality. I don't think we got the same tv. Lol. This tv is fantastic. Great picture. Great sound. For the price you can't beat it. Only thing I'll say in a negative tone is the stand could be a bit more sturdy. Other than that though this is a satisfactory television. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new tv.

Sceptre 50'

Received my Sceptre 50' yesterday....Only took about 30 minutes to get it set up... We are absolutely in love with this tv...The color & sound is amazing!!!...The picture is sharp/crisp... I read many reviews on this particular brand,because I didn't really know anything about it...For myself the good outweigh the bad..I decided to give it a try...So far it is exceeding my expectations... I'm thinking already on buying another for my daughter as a birthday gift...Personally I have a 50' LG in my bedroom,and payed twice the amount of money for the LG... And I honestly prefer the color & contrast of the Sceptre...For the money it can't be beat..I will definitely buy another....

Good TV and love the single base stand.

I have a table that I am sitting this TV on rather than a TV stand. With the single base stand, this item can be placed on any table that is the same size as the base or larger. It is just a better fit and I didn't have to spend additional money to purchase a regular TV stand.

Great TV

Sceptre-X505BV-F-50-1080p-60Hz-LED-HDTV/27678567 is a great TV at a great price. Picture amazing, bright, precise, clear. At 50" it is large but easy to set up. The sound is better than my son's SONY. I upgraded my Roku to Premiere+ and it improved the picture and channel selection speed. I am happy with my purchase. I was going to get a Sceptre 4K but I don't see much upside to what I have. I may just get another 1080p. Avatar looks great on DVD.

Q:The video card driver is not up to date, how can I fix this? ?
A:

  1. Find out what card you have by going into the Display Settings of your Operating System.  You will be able to see your video card name.
  2. Most video cards are from two companies, nVidia and AMD (formally ATI). You will need to download the latest driver to update your card. Here are the links:

    • nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    • AMD (formally ATI):  http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

    • Note: If your video card is not from nVidia, please search for the card on Google (www.google.com) or  visit www.sceptre.com for additional technical support and Live Chat with Customer Tech Support.

  3. Download the newest driver and remove the old driver from the system.  You will also need to remove the plug and play detected monitor driver.
  4. Reboot your computer and install the newest video card driver.
  5. You will need to reboot an additional time (reboot twice) for the system to detect the monitor, then you can adjust the monitor resolution.
