We finally received the 55" Sceptre TV from Walmart.com after they originally shipped the wrong size TV to us. We had it hooked up and running within a matter of minutes. Very easy to hook up to our satellite TV and had to do minimal adjustment to the color. For the price, this TV was a terrific value! Already recommended to a friend and they bought the same model!

Great TV

We bought this TV a week ago and, so far, we are very happy with it. Picture is great, sound is good, the only thing I am a little disappointed with is the remote control, which is not very responsive.

Great Features, east to set up

I purchased from Walmart, on-line, and in 5 days it was delivered to my front door, in a clean well decorated box. Unpacking was a breeze, the TV was easy to set up and mount on a stand by one old guy. Me! I downloaded the manual from your site, found it easy to read and follow. My wife and I have been enjoying it very much the last few days, to remote is great for setting the picture and sound features while watchin the programs, no need to access the menu. Wow, what a feature that is.Thank you Sceptre for a GREAT TV!

Very nice for the price

This is my second sceptre tv and both have a very nice picture. The sound on my other one which is a 50" is not as good but good enough for me. I will probably get another one when my old big screen monstrosity from the past finally dies. I have been recommending. Sceptre to everyone I know. Great value, great tv.

Nice TV

I received this tv from my apt complex as a renewal gift. Picture looks great and added my Bose speakers to it to have a nice home theater system. I don‘t watch TV that much but this is a nice way to watch football

I bought my TV online and the color went bad after 100 days, Walmart would not help me with a return or help of any kind ,however, Scptre was so helpful and assisted us in such a timely matter with only a week without a TV.Were not sure we will ever deal with Walmart again but as far as Sceptre we are very impressed and would definitely recommend them.

Exceeds all my expectations!

Let me start by saying I have never spent my time to write a review for any product until now. I felt compelled to share my experience with others that may be considering a Sceptre HDTV. Before making my purchase I researched Sceptre HDTV‘s and was impressed with the company and the specifications of the HDTV I was interested in purchasing. Beginning with my purchase online from Walmart, my earlier than expected delivery from FedEx and finally the setup of my 55" Sceptre HDTV, the process has been flawless. The box the TV ships in was perfectly designed to prevent damage in transit and the quality of the HDTV exceeds my expectations in every aspect. I replaced a very expensive Samsung that does not compare in picture quality with the Sceptre. I could not be more pleased with the purchase of my Sceptre HDTV and would urge anyone considering this product to make the purchase. You will not be disappointed.

Unbeatable quality for the pri

I have been watching TV on an old projection screen for many years, I decided it was time to get a flat screen and make some room in our living room. After researching TV‘s I decided upon this one due to its size and price point. I also like that I can use my XBMC box on it directly and would rather not have a smart TV considering I can upgrade a computer much easier and for less money than replacing a TV every few years. The picture is great and the sound is OK, I plan on adding a soundbar to make up for the sound. I didn‘t expect a great sound out of a flat screen so I don‘t consider this to be an issue. The TV is relatively light and was easily mounted to the wall which is awesome and my living room feels so much bigger now. You can easily spend two to three time the amount on a TV, but why would you when this one has such as excellent picture. It has plenty of hook ups for my devices as well.

Amazing Picture detail

I bought this TV to replace a 36" CRT TV that had a great picture. I wanted a 50" or larger, and found this on-line at Walmart for $399.00. I was reluctant to buy a minor brand product, since in the past I had a bad experience. Sceptre was a product I had heard of before with positive reviews. When I first turned on the TV I was amazed at the quality of the picture. It is awesome. I judge it just as good as some selling for $1,000.00. My only disappointment is the tinny sound produced by the built-in speakers. I wound up buying a sound bar to enhance our experience. Overall, it is a great value, and I highly recommend the TV, but budget for a quality sound bar to go along with it.

no remote

received my new 55" tv bought online and there was no remote, batteries, warranty card, or manual inside. I really like the TV and the picture. I‘m still in the process of getting my remote sent to me but it seems like all will be good

Great low cost option

Bought this as low cost replacement for a much older TV. Knew Sceptre had a good reputation so gave this a shot. Easy hook up with a decent array of options. Discovered a great looking picture at this price point. Does it out preform a $1000 TV? No. But at half the cost it can‘t be beat. All around excellent value with good picture. I think I hit a home run with my choice. Will be buying other Sceptre products when the time comes to replace in other parts of the house. Very pleased.

Q:The video card driver is not up to date, how can I fix this? ?
A:

  1. Find out what card you have by going into the Display Settings of your Operating System.  You will be able to see your video card name.
  2. Most video cards are from two companies, nVidia and AMD (formally ATI). You will need to download the latest driver to update your card. Here are the links:

    • nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    • AMD (formally ATI):  http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

    • Note: If your video card is not from nVidia, please search for the card on Google (www.google.com) or  visit www.sceptre.com for additional technical support and Live Chat with Customer Tech Support.

  3. Download the newest driver and remove the old driver from the system.  You will also need to remove the plug and play detected monitor driver.
  4. Reboot your computer and install the newest video card driver.
  5. You will need to reboot an additional time (reboot twice) for the system to detect the monitor, then you can adjust the monitor resolution.
