I am very pleased with this 50 inch 1080 led set. It took about a week for it to burn in though so give it some time, because at first I was not too impressed. The memc really improves the image from 60 hz to 120 hz and it's an upgrade over another sceptre lcd that I had. It performs really well with video games that I have played on it like Fallout 4, The Witcher 3, The Crew and Star Wars Battlefront. Movies are also really good looking on it as well as sports.

When I compare this set to the other ones in my house that include a Vizio , LG , Sony and Hisense this one ranks number one. It is absolutely worth the price and it can compete with any brand out there and probably come out on top.

Great product for the price!

I just bought this TV and so far it is worth every penny. Inputs are standard and plentym compatible with all 3 sources I have, and the picture seems great for what I paid.

I bought this TV to use as a computer monitor for a dashboard program in my office. Works perfectly and for the price it was a great deal.

Great bang for the buck

While I had read some reviews that said the TV would burn out quickly, I decided to go ahead and get it anyways. Overall I am very impressed with the TV, for the price you really can‘t beat the clarity or picture. The built-in speakers are mediocre but that‘s because the tv is so thin. Most people just buy sound bars anyways. My only complaint is the backlighting. I had to turn it down significantly when I first bought it, if you are watching a dark movie you will notice that some of the edges are inexplicably brighter than the rest of the screen. However this can be easily overlooked when you consider the price of the tv.

Great price and smooth gaming quality.

Shipping arrival scared me to death since the package was a bit worse for wear but it was well insulated and was perfect. I use this for PC gaming and it runs my setting on ultra very smoothly and great picture quality after I played with the settings a bit ( it arrived with power saver as the default picture presets). I'd pick up a sound bar if you're looking for sound the size of the TV...but I'm very pleased with my purchase so far.

Bought 2 of these amazing TVs

Bought 2 of these for placement at the foot of my bed. I am extremely near-sighted (-5.50) and can only read if a book is within 6 inches of my face. Yes too close for comfort. So I got 2 huge TVs, hooked them up to my computers and DVR, and now I can read e-books on this pretty much giant kindle, or watch TV without needing glasses. Yes both TVs side by side are wider than a King bed. Yes I can't see the rest of the room, but I can't see crap anyways so what do I care.

The TVs have 2 hour sleep timers and a ton of other options. Just like any TV when you get it you need to adjust the color, contrast, brightness. (if you haven't you should). The only problem I've found with this TV is that it doesn't hold the CUSTOM backlight setting. If you turn off the TV and fire it back up, it stays on custom, and all the color, contrast, brightness, sharpness, stays how you set it, just the backlight kicks in to 100%. Kind of annoying since if you use it to read and stare at the screen you'll get a migraine with it at 100%. Around 50% you can see it dimming and around 30% it's comfortable to read with. Watching TV you blink more than when reading. So you get little breaks with your eyes with it as a TV and blinking. Reading is staring almost and even with it set to white text on black background it's still bright enough to give you headaches and make your eyes bloodshot. Yes these are some powerful LEDs...

Really nice TV, we were very pleasantly surprised especially for the price. We are not huge TV watchers but this done the trick. My only complaint would be that the remote is very sensitive so I have to hit power a few times to get it going.

Q:The video card driver is not up to date, how can I fix this? ?
A:

  1. Find out what card you have by going into the Display Settings of your Operating System.  You will be able to see your video card name.
  2. Most video cards are from two companies, nVidia and AMD (formally ATI). You will need to download the latest driver to update your card. Here are the links:

    • nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    • AMD (formally ATI):  http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

    • Note: If your video card is not from nVidia, please search for the card on Google (www.google.com) or  visit www.sceptre.com for additional technical support and Live Chat with Customer Tech Support.

  3. Download the newest driver and remove the old driver from the system.  You will also need to remove the plug and play detected monitor driver.
  4. Reboot your computer and install the newest video card driver.
  5. You will need to reboot an additional time (reboot twice) for the system to detect the monitor, then you can adjust the monitor resolution.
