Great tv for a great price. I haven't had any trouble with the sound. If you are on the fence about it I definitely recommend it. The only thing I was worried about was how long it would last so I bought a 4 year warranty for $50 and now I couldn't be more happy about my purchase

Great TV

After searching for a 47" tv in almost every brand made, we purchased this tv and I‘m so happy we did. We have had Vizio, Samsung, Panasonic tv‘s and none of them were as nice as this one. Since we‘ve only had the tv for a week, I can‘t speak to how it‘s going last over the years. I can say that it‘s got an incredible picture, speed is great for watching football, and the sound is very good. Our last TV was a Vizio and the sound was horrible. Bounced off the wall behind it which made it sound like it had an echo, so we definitely needed a sound bar. Not with this TV! When my AC is on, I do have to turn up the volume some, but that‘s nbd. We don‘t need a sound bar. No echo, or hollow sound. I love that this particular TV has the solid base that most of the larger TV‘s do not have anymore. The remote is longer and more slim which makes it easier to handle and you don‘t need a magnifying glass to read what the buttons say! So far, we‘re really happy with this Sceptre, and are actually looking into getting a 65" for the family room. Can‘t beat the price!

Absolutely incredible deal!

The picture on this tv is stellar! I have it paired with Comcast Hi-Def and the refresh rate, tone, contrast, and overall picture quality is fantastic. Why pay a couple hundred dollars for a mainstream name brand when you can get the same quality for a better price? I was skeptical when I was considering it, but those worries disappeared as soon as I plugged the television in. Don‘t hesitate. You won‘t regret it.

Great Picture. Great Value

This tv has a great picture in HD. The colors are sharp and bright. Looks great for live sporting events. The audio is good not great. The tv has a solid, glass base that is very sturdy. Hard to believe it was only $399. Great value!

Q:The video card driver is not up to date, how can I fix this? ?
A:

  1. Find out what card you have by going into the Display Settings of your Operating System.  You will be able to see your video card name.
  2. Most video cards are from two companies, nVidia and AMD (formally ATI). You will need to download the latest driver to update your card. Here are the links:

    • nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    • AMD (formally ATI):  http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

    • Note: If your video card is not from nVidia, please search for the card on Google (www.google.com) or  visit www.sceptre.com for additional technical support and Live Chat with Customer Tech Support.

  3. Download the newest driver and remove the old driver from the system.  You will also need to remove the plug and play detected monitor driver.
  4. Reboot your computer and install the newest video card driver.
  5. You will need to reboot an additional time (reboot twice) for the system to detect the monitor, then you can adjust the monitor resolution.
